LUH - SPIRITUAL SONGS FOR LOVERS TO SING (2LP LIMITED EDITION COLOURED BLACK AND WHITE VINYL, EXCLUSIVE PRINTS, DIGITAL DOWNLOAD AND POSTER)

Debut Album from Ellery James Roberts (Formerly of WU LYF) and Ebony Hoorn Produced by The Haxan Cloak

LUH (which stands for Lost Under Heaven) is Ellery Roberts and Ebony Hoorn. Ellery's name might be familiar as the frontman of WU LYF, whose raw and primal voice helped create a sound that shaped a new model for the untamed fury of youth. Ebony is an audio-visual artist based in Amsterdam, where the pair now live. Over the past two years, they have been releasing music, art, photography, film and manifestos into the world.

With their Mute Records debut full-length album Spiritual Songs For Lovers To Sing, the band speaks of their desire, in Ellery's words, "to sustain a self-sufficient culture and be able to reject the status quo, because we've got a more fulfilling thing going on away from it."

Featuring production work by The Haxan Cloak (known for his own genre-bending experimental compositions and work on Björk's Vulnicura album), the producer and duo turn out to be a perfectly strange pairing, as they both have grand ambitions that go in equal and opposite directions; whereas Haxan Cloak made his name on plumbing the depths with unprecedented sub-bass, the LUH album bursts through arena ceilings to let the heavens in, as heard on first single "I&I" as well as upgraded versions of "Lament" and "Unites." Simply put, the whole thing sounds colossal.

1. I&I
2. Unites
3. Beneath the Concrete
4. Future Blues
5. Someday Come
6. $ORO
7. Here Our Moment Ends
8. Loyalty
9. Lost Under Heaven
10. First Eye to the New Sky
11. Lament
12. The Great Longing
